Now children, we musn't forget one very important thought while we're at uni - that is, the actual reason we're at uni. With all the potential the Student Life community offers for people to gallavant about the countryside at all hours of the morning socialising, we need to realise that there is more to life than what we can see right at this moment.
What if God was calling one of us to be the world's greatest physicist? Something tells me that short of a prodigy breaking into our midst, a person who is socialising 6 nights out of 7 (and going to church on the 7th night) is not being responsible to God's call on their life. Student Life does not want to pull students away from their studies.
Student Life however, recognises that many uni students do have oodles of spare time that they don't know what to do with. Combine this with the fact that many uni students are also extremely lonely and we see that something needs to be done. Our conclusion has been to keep creating social opportunities for people to get out of their homes, refresh their minds and hopefully deepen some friendships. But don't socialise excessively and definitely not to the detriment of your studies.
